The Pentagon’s top-secret Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) investigated flying saucers for four years from 2008.

This groundbreaking programme, which had a budget of £16.5million, was launched after former Nevada Democrat Senator Harry Reid pushed for its creation.

Bigelow Aerospace, founded by entrepreneur and UFOlogist Robert Bigelow, 73, worked alongside government workers to study the strange reports which are known as “unidentified aerial phenomena”.

When news of the X-Files type project emerged late last year, it was reported that materials and alloys from crashed UFOs was being stored at Bigelow Aerospace’s 50-acre headquarters on the northern edge of Las Vegas.

Astronaut claims he witnessed an ‘organic, alien

NASA astronaut Leland Melvin claims he once saw an 'alien-like, organic object' floating outside his space shuttle.

Break.

Former NASA astronaut Leland Melvin tweeted that he saw something "curved, organic looking" floating out of the payload bay during his time on the space shuttle Atlantis.

He told NASA about it, but the agency told him that what he was seeing was not an extraterrestrial but a piece of ice.

I have not seen one in space or on the ground but thought I saw something organic/alien like floating out of the payload bay. @AstroKomrade and I called the ground to ask what it could be and it was ice that had broken off of the Freon hoses.Translucent, curved, organic looking’

It’s a dumb idea to make Trump’s Space Force its own military branch

Vice President Mike Pence today unveiled the Trump administration’s plans to form a sixth military branch called Space Force. It’s a stupid idea.

As a major science nerd, Star Wars fanatic, and lover of the cosmos the thought of Trump’s Space Force causes my inner child to leap for joy and make weird laser sounds. But I’m not a child. I’m a grown up and a military veteran. And the US armed forces shouldn’t be anyone’s fantasy factory.

Jumping ahead.

Before we go any further, I’d like to make it perfectly clear that, were this bad idea to become a reality, my criticism of the program is in no way meant to disrespect the brave people who’ve served or will serve in the military. This isn’t about our nation’s warriors, it’s about politics.
