Reproducing research involves using the original data and code, while replicating research involves new data collection and similar methods used in previous studies, the report says. Even when a study was rigorously conducted according to best practices, correctly analyzed, and transparently reported, it may fail to be replicated.

Woman tells cops a masked, armed man raped her near North Myrtle Beach oceanfront hotel

A masked, armed man raped a woman near a North Myrtle Beach hotel on Monday evening, according to a police report.

The suspect was a black man, wearing a ski mask, according to the report. He was heavy set and was in his late 20s.

North Myrtle Beach police spokesman Pat Dowling said the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous, might be in the Main Street area. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (843) 280-5511.

US News Best High Schools 2019: See How Plymouth

PLYMOUTH-WHITEMARSH, PA ‘ Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School is among the top group of high schools in America, according to U.S. News & World Report’s comprehensive ranking of the nation’s high schools. The report, issued Tuesday, ranks more than 17,000 schools, an increase from 2,700 last year.

Of those 17,000, Plymouth-Whitemarsh is 942nd. The local high school is also the 27th best in all of Pennsylvania, the study says.

The five-county Philadelphia area took home the top 9 spots on the list, and 11 of the top 13. Plymouth-Whitemarsh is the fifth ranked Montgomery County school, coming in just behind Wissahickon (12th), Lower Moreland (16th), Harriton (25th), and Spring-Ford (26th).
