James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction was also turned into a book from Insight Editions, which contains full transcriptions of the interviews on the show. As it so happens, SYFY WIRE got its hands on one of these books and we scoured all of its 223 pages for the juiciest nuggets of information about the productions behind Terminator, Alien, Star Wars,’E.T., Interstellar,’and more.

AMC has announced the UK premiere of James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction will be on Tuesday, June 19th – exclusive to BT customers.

The Hollywood legend’s new documentary series explores our fascination with the genre of science fiction with themed episodes around monsters, time travel, aliens and more.

Including access to the biggest directors and stars in movie history, the series will be a must-watch for sci-fi fanatics this summer.

The new AMC show’James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction‘(Mondays, 10 p.m. ET) finds the director of The Terminator, Aliens, and Avatar discussing the genre with, among others, Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott, Guillermo del Toro, and George Lucas.’I had to talk George into doing it,’ Cameron said at a recent event to promote the series at his Lightstorm Entertainment production company. ‘He said, ‘I don’t do stuff like this.’ I said, ‘I know, I know.
