A “disco ball inferno” erupted on Howard and 2nd streets in San Francisco drawing those with big personalities and colorful costumes out into the light for a romp in the sun.

This may worth something:

Photos show San Francisco getting odd at 19th-annual How Weird Street Faire

A rainbow of revelers flooded a stretch of downtown San Francisco on Sunday, ringing in the 19th annual How Weird Street Faire.

The fair is a spiritual successor of sorts to Woodstock, with miniature raves along every corridor. Costumes are mightily encouraged, regardless of modesty or practicality. Smiles and face paint abound. In some of the rowdier enclaves, electronic music shakes the ground like an ambient earthquake, but in quieter areas it’s still possible to hold a conversation. In other words, your typical San Francisco street party.

Near one of the sound stages, a double-decker vehicle with a canopy-like platform mounted on top was packed with dancers. The exterior had been decorated with garlands of stuffed animals, making the upper level look like a rainforest of toys. Alex Deghi, 25, looked out over the crowd.

Break.

Michelle Wolf’s caustic comedy routine at the White House correspondents’ dinner, annotated

Analysis Interpretation of the news based on evidence, including data, as well as anticipating how events might unfold based on past events

Good evening. Good evening. Here we are, the White House correspondents’ dinner: Like a porn star says when she’s about to have sex with a Trump, let’s get this over with.

Yup, kiddos, this is who you’re getting tonight.’I’m going to skip a lot of the’normal pleasantries. We’re at a Hilton; it’s not nice. This is on C-SPAN; no one watches that. Trump is president; it’s not ideal.

Further on.

And just a reminder to everyone, I’m here to make jokes. I have no agenda. I’m not trying to get anything accomplished. So everyone that’s here’from Congress, you should feel right at home.

Further on.
